Pullman Khao Lak Resort

Hotel is beautiful with beautiful staff. Positive: Modern and clean facilities. The beautiful Andaman sea at the doorstep is breathtaking. We went walking and shell collecting with our kids and enjoyed magical sunsets every evening. It’s a great location. Some suggestions: For summer it would be nice if they left a thin blanket option as well as the usual duvet. Also pillows are a bit high for those who like to sleep low profile. We went for all inclusive package, the buffet is worth the money, although it would be nice if there was an option of some house wine rather than only cocktails and beers in the all inclusive package as not everyone likes to have cocktails. The staff are very helpful and will try their very best to accommodate your requests. Lisa and Ko Party were lovely.

The Resort was very comfortable with our room having pool access, which made it special. The cleanness of the room and all public areas was excellent. We enjoyed the location, out of the way and not in a tourist area. The pools and swim up bar where great. All your staff, from our arrival to our departure 10 days later was of a high standard, very helpful, friendly and courteous. Only one issue, was the inclusive food package. Breakfasts where very good but lunch and dinner, just seemed to be the same. We enjoyed the salad and noodle options, but not so much the buffet hot food. The Beach Cafe was OK but not a lot of variety. Thai food was very limited , would have liked to see more traditional local food.

We experienced too many issues during this trip. We waited at the lobby for an hour (the check in time was 3 pm and we were punctual). No staff offered a welcome drink to us and we had to ask for it. We had a dinner at the beachfront restaurant and the staff kept serving us the wrong dishes. There were confusions among the staff and the kitchen (the restaurant was definitely understaff). The food taste was really bad. The drinks that we ordered were also poorly made. The breakfast was the worst after all. The sausages were of poor quality that even 7-11 sausages are far better. No ice available for Thai tea and other drinks. We requested the ice from the staff and they never come. We ordered in room dining dishes and were very disappointed. The krapao beef was too sweet and that's not how to cook the dish. We requested the toothbrushes and they never come so we had to follow up. Upon check out, the staff didn't ask about guest experience or anything. We felt like all staff here didn't have proper training and lack of service mind. Poor management and services. Please don't call yourself a five star hotel if you can't properly manage basic things. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
